What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Prime location for old Granada — Just off Plaza Nueva, it is a roughly five-minute walk from the Albayzin Public Bath and close to the cathedral, with the Alhambra reachable on foot.
  • Charming courtyard and bar — A covered central courtyard serves as a pleasant spot for coffee or drinks, and the on-site restaurant is well regarded.
  • Helpful, friendly staff — Reception staff frequently go out of their way, arranging bus tickets, advising on Alhambra tickets, and assisting with luggage.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Navigating narrow streets and parking — Finding the hotel can be tricky on first arrival; parking is limited, and guests recommend using the nearby Trex parking lot.
  • Comfort and facilities are modest — While rooms are generally adequate, comfort scores lower (7.4) and facilities lower still (6.4), suggesting a trade-off between charm and modern polish.
  • Small property, few rooms — With only 12 rooms, the hotel is intimate, but availability is limited and there is no lift mentioned to upper floors.

“The location was excellent with easy access to the Alhambra and Albaicín. The inside courtyard and bar area was really nice to relax in, and the reception staff were very helpful. A few doors down is the tourist information office, but we got more help from the hotel receptionist, who was happy to arrange bus tickets for our onward travel to Málaga.”
